Joshua Conway is a driven young English composer, conductor, orchestrator, and producer based in New York City. He is completing a Masters of Music in screen scoring at NYU, and is the recipient of the prestigious Alan Menken Award. 

Josh is passionate and versatile, having worked as a composer and producer for various media from documentaries to animation. He has written for a wide range of instruments and ensembles including traditional and hybrid orchestras, synthesisers and instruments from global music traditions. Past projects have recieved nominations for various festivals, not limited to YUGO BAFTA, NYCIFF, London Global Film Awards, and The Seattle Film Festival. 

As an orchestrator Josh is able to create dynamic and engaging orchestrations that retain the identity of the original composition, and can comfortably stay within a given stylistic brief. Josh has orchestrated for a variety of ensembles and styles, including symphony orchestra, wind bands, various chamber ensembles, and pit bands. 

Josh's Concert music has been performed in a variety of venues in America and the UK, including Cardiff and London with the Colossus Collective - A contemporary music collective of which he is Co-Creative Director. His compositions draw on post-modern and post-minimal aesthetics, often incorporating guided improvisation and theatrical elements, while retaining a strong sense of narrative direction.

Having worked on a variety of projects from video games to musical theatre, Josh is extremely committed to creating the highest quality product no matter what the project.
